Biomedical College Annual Awards
Three awards are open for nomination, with the opportunity to win prizes including cash, medals and the opportunity to attend and/or present at an event of the winner’s choosing.
Nominations close Monday 16 September 2019.
David Dewhurst Award. Named after one of Australia’s first prominent biomedical engineers, this is awarded to a member of the Biomedical engineering team who has made a significant contribution to the discipline.
Women in Biomedical Engineering Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a practising female Biomedical Engineer who is making an outstanding contribution to her profession and professional community. The prize is the financial contribution worth up to $2,000.
Young Biomedical Engineering Conference Paper & Poster Prizes. These prizes are given to young biomedical engineers based upon their paper or poster presentation at the Australian Biomedical Engineering Conference (ABEC). The prize consists of a certificate and $750 towards travelling to an overseas conference.
