The Founder of Medtronics and leading inventor of the implantable pacemaker died 21 October at his home in Hawaii Read his story in the newsletter.
Earl Bakken and Wilson Greatbach, both leaders in pacemaker design and development, were visitors to Melbourne. See Earl Bakken’s Legacy in the Bakken Museum here.

The Unicorn Club is next to the MHSOBA Scoreboard in the South-West Corner of the Melbourne High School grounds. Vehicle access to the grounds is from the Alexandra Ave. gate or from Forrest Hill. The Boom Gate Code is 7967

Park inside the Alexandra Ave gate near the Cadet Pavillion and walk across the Oval. Some parking is available near the Unicorn Club. Parking is also available along the top drive. The South Yarra station and Toorak tram (58) are a 350m walk down Yarra St. Enter from the Yarra St gate behind the Unicorn Club.
